These Terms of Use govern your use of ChillSweeps.com, including the sweepstakes directory, Membership features, public profiles, and other ChillSweeps services. By using ChillSweeps, you agree to these Terms.
About ChillSweeps
ChillSweeps is a sweepstakes discovery and organization service. Most promotions listed in the directory are sponsored and operated by independent third parties. ChillSweeps may also occasionally sponsor or administer its own promotions.
Third-party sweepstakes
Unless a listing expressly identifies ChillSweeps as the sponsor or administrator, ChillSweeps does not sponsor, administer, operate, select winners for, or fulfill prizes for that promotion.
Each third-party sponsor's Official Rules control eligibility, entry methods, entry limits, geographic restrictions, deadlines, prize details, winner selection, and all other promotion terms. Always review the Official Rules before entering.
ChillSweeps-sponsored sweepstakes
When ChillSweeps sponsors or administers a promotion, that promotion will have separate Official Rules. Those Official Rules control the specific promotion. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Official Rules concerning that promotion, the Official Rules control for the promotion.
Membership, payment, or purchase does not provide better odds, additional sweepstakes eligibility, privileged entry opportunities, or any other advantage in a ChillSweeps-sponsored sweepstakes unless an applicable lawful promotion expressly provides otherwise in its Official Rules. ChillSweeps does not condition sweepstakes entry or improved odds on purchasing a ChillSweeps Membership.
Directory access and Membership
The core ChillSweeps sweepstakes directory remains available without a paid account. Membership provides convenience, persistence, identity, profile, and account-based features. Membership does not provide better sweepstakes, better odds of winning, or special access to third-party sweepstakes.
Membership age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a ChillSweeps Membership or member profile. ChillSweeps may require completion of an age screen before allowing Membership signup or related account activity.
The age screen is based on the date of birth you provide and is not identity verification. You agree to provide truthful information. ChillSweeps may suspend, restrict, or remove an account if it determines that the account holder does not meet the Membership age requirement.
Membership plans, trials, and recurring billing
The monthly Membership currently includes a 30-day free trial. Unless canceled before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid Membership at $3 per month and continues renewing monthly until canceled.
The annual Membership is currently $30 when purchased and automatically renews annually until canceled. The annual plan does not include the monthly plan's 30-day free trial unless ChillSweeps expressly states otherwise at checkout.
Applicable taxes may be added. ChillSweeps may change Membership pricing or plan terms prospectively, subject to any notice or consent required by applicable law.
By starting a recurring paid Membership, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the disclosed recurring amount using your selected payment method until you cancel.
Cancellation and renewal
You may cancel recurring Membership using the online billing-management method made available with your Membership. If you cannot access that method, you may contact ChillSweeps for assistance.
To avoid the first monthly charge, cancel the monthly trial before the 30-day trial ends. To avoid a later renewal charge, cancel before the applicable renewal date. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancellation takes effect for future billing and does not create a prorated refund for a period already paid.
Where applicable law requires renewal reminders, notices, additional consent, or other subscription protections, ChillSweeps will provide them as required.
Payment processing
Membership authentication and billing functionality are provided through Memberstack and Stripe. Payments are processed through Stripe. ChillSweeps does not store full payment-card numbers.
Your use of payment and account services may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms and privacy practices.
Accounts and account security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. Do not share authentication credentials or use another person's account without authorization.
Provide accurate account information and keep information reasonably current where the service allows it.
Usernames and public profiles
Members may create a unique username and public profile and may add content such as an avatar, About Me information, favorite brands or categories, an Instagram handle, win information, or other supported profile content.
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content for display through ChillSweeps, you grant ChillSweeps a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate the applicable ChillSweeps feature.
Public-profile content is intentionally public and may be viewed, indexed, linked to, or copied by others. Do not publish information you want to keep private.
Username and content standards
You may not use a username or submit content that impersonates another person or organization; falsely suggests affiliation with ChillSweeps or another entity; infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights; is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, malicious, or abusive; contains malware or harmful code; or is otherwise used to interfere with ChillSweeps or other users.
ChillSweeps may reject, rename, hide, restrict, or remove usernames, profiles, or content when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, address infringement or impersonation, comply with law, or protect the ChillSweeps service and brand.
Submitted sweepstakes URLs
Visitors may suggest publicly accessible sweepstakes URLs for review. Submission does not guarantee publication. ChillSweeps may review, verify, edit, decline, remove, or archive listings at its discretion. Do not submit private, confidential, malicious, unlawfully obtained, or access-restricted links.
Newsletter and communications
Marketing or newsletter subscriptions are optional and separate from accepting these Terms or purchasing Membership. You may unsubscribe from marketing messages using the unsubscribe method provided in those messages.
ChillSweeps may send transactional or service-related communications when reasonably necessary for an account, Membership, payment, security matter, request, or promotion you use.
Referral links
Some entry links may provide ChillSweeps with a referral benefit, such as a bonus entry or another benefit made available by the promotion. Referral status does not change ChillSweeps' standards for listing or describing a sweepstakes and does not give paying ChillSweeps members better odds or preferential entry access.
Third-party websites and services
ChillSweeps links to websites and services operated by third parties and uses third-party providers for some site functions. ChillSweeps does not control third-party content, availability, security, privacy practices, promotion rules, or other terms.
Your use of a third-party website or service is subject to that provider's own terms, policies, and rules.
Listing accuracy
ChillSweeps works to present useful and accurate sweepstakes information, but listings are informational summaries and may contain errors, omissions, delays, or outdated information. Official Rules and sponsor materials control over a ChillSweeps summary.
ChillSweeps may correct, update, remove, or archive a listing at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse ChillSweeps, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site operation, circumvent security or access controls, scrape or overload the service in a harmful manner, introduce malicious code, misuse another person's information, or use ChillSweeps for unlawful activity.
Intellectual property and trademarks
The ChillSweeps site, branding, original text, design, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Sponsor names, trademarks, promotion names, images, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Reference to a sponsor or promotion does not by itself imply affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship of ChillSweeps.
Suspension and termination
ChillSweeps may suspend or terminate access to account or Membership features, remove public content, or restrict use of the service when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or the service, respond to fraud or abuse, comply with law, or address a material security concern.
Cancellation of a paid Membership affects paid access and future billing but does not necessarily delete the underlying account, username, profile, or previously submitted content.
No guarantee of winning
ChillSweeps does not guarantee that you will win any sweepstakes or promotion. Sweepstakes results depend on the applicable promotion and its Official Rules. Membership does not improve your odds of winning.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
ChillSweeps is provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChillSweeps disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third-party sweepstakes sponsors, third-party websites, or third-party service providers.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChillSweeps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to the service or these Terms
ChillSweeps may modify site features or update these Terms as the service, Membership, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be handled in accordance with applicable law. The Last updated date above identifies the current version.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
